GIS Uttarakhand 2023: Dhami reached the site and took stock of the arrangements, 27 new policies were made based on the suggestions of investors

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took stock of all the arrangements made at the venue for the preparations for the Destination Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit to be held at FRI on 08 and 09 December. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the program on 08 December, while Home Minister Amit Shah will participate in the concluding program on 9 December.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that under the Destination Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit, agreements worth Rs 3 lakh crore have already been signed, while the grounding of agreements worth Rs 44 thousand crore has been done. He said that the interest shown by investors to work in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is injecting new energy into the progress of the state. The Chief Minister said that there are many possibilities of work in the field of education and medicine in the state, special focus is being given to these areas. He said that in the state, first priority is being given to such agreements, in which people can get maximum employment at the local level.

The Chief Minister said that the work of implementing the agreements signed under the Investors Summit is going on at a fast pace. Officials have also been instructed to review it regularly. The Chief Minister said that big industrialists from the country and abroad are participating in the Investors Summit. The focus has been on various sectors like health, wellness, education, medical, tourism, automobile, pharma and as per the requirement of the state. The Chief Minister said that policies have also been simplified to enable investors with whom agreements have been signed to invest in the state. 27 new policies have been made based on the suggestions of investors.

The Chief Minister said that the state is continuously receiving guidance from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. To make this decade the decade of Uttarakhand, under his guidance, work is being done rapidly in every field by the state government.

On this occasion, Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. Sandhu, Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Secretary Dr. R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Shailesh Bagoli, Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam, Secretary and Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, District Magistrate Dehradun Sonika, Director General Industries Rohit Meena, Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari and officers involved in the preparations for the event were present.

Chief Minister planted 17 species of tulips in his residence complex

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the plantation program of 4000 bulbs of 17 species of tulips at the Chief Minister’s residence complex on Saptnik Thursday. Last year, 400 bulbs of 4 species of tulips were planted in the CM residence complex.

This year, black and purple bicolor tulips will be the center of attraction at the Chief Minister’s residence. The Chief Minister took information about tulip gardening from garden in-charge Deepak Purohit and gave instructions to prepare an action plan for its commercial production in the coming years.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also inspected various horticultural works in the campus and appreciated such efforts by observing the works of vegetable production, mushroom production, silence keeping as well as different species of flowers.
