Uttarakhand: Dhami government crossed the target of Rs 2.5 lakh crore even before the investor conference, 27 new policies made to increase investment

Pushkar Singh Dhami government has already exceeded the investment target set before the Global Investors Conference. MoUs (Memorandum of Understanding) worth more than the target of Rs 2.50 lakh crore have been signed so far. MoUs worth Rs 40,423 crore were signed in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Uttarakhand Energy Conclave in the Secretariat on Tuesday. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dhami said that 27 new policies have been made on the basis of suggestions from people associated with the industrial world to increase investment in the state. Along with this, many policies have been simplified.

PM Modi will inaugurate the conference

To achieve the goal of Strong Uttarakhand, a Global Investors Conference will be held at FRI on 8th and 9th December. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the conference. Chief Minister Dhami said that the state is continuously receiving guidance from Prime Minister Modi. Work on Destination Uttarakhand is being done with the inspiration of his Vibrant Gujarat. Instructions have been given to all the officers to seriously implement all the suggestions received in the Energy Conclave. He said that MoUs have been signed for investment in more than 32 projects related to hydropower and solar energy.

All three energy corporations will have to work in unity

The Chief Minister directed all the District Magistrates and SSPs to hold meetings with the people associated with the industrial sector from time to time and find appropriate solutions to their problems. The state government will work as a partner with the entrepreneurs. Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said that to materialize the possibilities in the energy sector, all three energy corporations will have to work in unity.

Energy Secretary Dr. R. Meenakshi Sundaram said that new hydropower policy and new solar policy have been implemented to encourage investment. Energy Additional Secretary Ranjana Rajguru said that the target of 2500 MW solar projects by the year 2027 has been set in the solar energy policy. Managing directors of the three corporations were also present on this occasion.

Under the Investor Conference, investment agreements worth Rs 2.15 crore were signed so far through road shows and regional conclaves at major places in the country and abroad. After the signing of MoUs worth Rs 40,423 crore in the Energy Conclave on Tuesday, till now MoUs worth about 2.55 crores have been signed. Thus, the government has so far signed more MOUs than its target.
