Uttarakhand: Greenfield Expressway to be built on the route, Garhwal – Kumaon will have a big shortage

There has been a lot of work in the last few years regarding road connectivity in Uttarakhand. Now there has been a big announcement about another route.

The central government has approved the bypass from Najibabad to Afzalgarh. This bypass will be a forelane. The length of this bypass will be more than 42 kilometers.

This bypass is planned to be developed as Green Field Expressway. After the construction of this expressway, the time taken to cover the distance between Garhwal and Kumaon will be reduced by one hour. According to the National Highway Authority, approval of Rs 799.66 crore has been approved for the construction of this route.

Char Dham Yatra will pass through 13 bypass, 2 tunnels, 25 big bridges and 3 fly overs
Currently, the distance between Najibabad Afzalgarh is about 69 km. Traffic is more on this route, so the journey takes more time. This route passes through areas like Dhampur, Sherkot.

Now, due to the creation of a new express, all these towns will not fall on the route. With this, the length of the route will remain around 42 km. People going from Dehradun and Haridwar to Jaspur and Kashipur as well as Haldwani and Nainital will get a lot of benefit from this forelane bypass.
