Be prepared for dense fog and harsh winter, chances of heavy rain in these states
The rain in some states of North India has increased the chill. The Meteorological Department has predicted dense fog in the morning in Eastern UP, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till December 11. Light rain may also occur here. There is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The Meteorological Department said that on December 12, there may be rain and hailstorm in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
Heavy rain in Tamil Nadu
The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in South Peninsular India on December 10. Heavy rain occurred in parts of Coimbatore city of Tamil Nadu on Saturday morning. Due to rain, waterlogging has occurred at some places.
AQI in Delhi is in very poor category
Cold has increased in Delhi-NCR for the last three days. Light to moderate fog is occurring in the morning. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality index (AQI) remains in the very poor category in many parts of Delhi. The air quality in Delhi remained in ‘very poor’ category even on Friday morning. The weather department has predicted clear sky during the day.
Severe winter in Rajasthan
Winter has started taking hold in Rajasthan, where Fatehpur in Sikar was the coldest place in the state with a minimum temperature of five degrees Celsius. According to Meteorological Center Jaipur, the night temperature in Fatehpur dropped to five degrees Celsius. Whereas in Sikar and Churu the minimum temperatures were recorded at 6.0 and 6.6 degrees Celsius respectively. Similarly, last night the minimum temperature was 7.1 degree in Sangaria (Hanumangarh), 8.0 degree in Pilani, 8.7 degree in Sirohi, 9.3 degree Celsius in Ganganagar. Talking about other places, the minimum temperature was 10 degrees Celsius (Jaisalmer) and 15.8 degrees Celsius (Dholpur).
