Bihar / Bettiah: Scams of brokers, job abroad and… ordeal of a young man who somehow reached home

A young man from Bettiah, Bihar had gone abroad in search of a job. There he had to face a lot of problems. He was not even given salary in the company where he worked. His passport was also kept. After this he made many efforts to return home. Finally, with the help of a social worker, he reached his home.

The name of the victim is Sheikh Meraj. He told that the brokers had sent him to Maldives for a job as an engineer. After going there he had to work as a labourer. After working for two months, I did not even get the money. Meanwhile he became ill. Doctors told that he is suffering from dengue.

There was no money even for treatment

To get out of the problems, he started trying to return home. For this, first of all I went to get the visa. But the company people did not give him his passport. He didn’t even have money for treatment. Through video call, he appealed for help from home and the MP of his Lok Sabha constituency.

Social worker becomes a ray of hope

When even MPs were of no use, social worker Dinesh Aggarwal became a ray of hope. His efforts received full support from the PMO and the Ministry of External Affairs. In this way, Meraj returned to his home in Chamua village of Narkatiaganj on Saturday.
