Madhya Pradesh / Bhopal: Young man accidentally swallowed a bee while drinking water
In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, a 22-year-old youth accidentally swallowed a live bee while drinking water. The bee stung the young man at several places in his windpipe and internal stomach. When his condition worsened, his relatives took the young man to the hospital. Despite the tireless efforts of the doctors, the young man’s life could not be saved.
Swelling in the esophagus
The incident happened on Wednesday night. Police Inspector Narendra Kulaste said that on Wednesday night, laborer Hirendra Singh accidentally swallowed a bee while drinking a glass of water in his house in Berasia area, about 40 km from the district headquarters. Kulaste said Singh complained of difficulty in breathing and restlessness as his food pipe was swollen and he was taken to the government hospital.
Young man vomits out dead bee
According to him, when the young man’s condition did not improve, he was taken to a private hospital, where he died at around 1 am on Thursday night. He said that during treatment, the victim vomited and expelled the dead bee.
