Israel Hamas War: 1400 year old mosque damaged, death toll nears 18 thousand; America will send 14 thousand shells to Israel
Israeli forces launched air and ground attacks across Gaza on Saturday. Israeli soldiers are now taking direct action by entering the cities, destroying Hamas positions through airstrikes or tank shelling where there is a possibility of strong resistance. Meanwhile, Gaza’s oldest Omri Mosque has also been badly damaged in Israeli action. This mosque located in Gaza City dates back to the seventh century. Meaning, it is among the oldest mosques in the world. After the end of the week-long ceasefire, the Israeli army also started ground action in southern Gaza. For the past several days, Israeli soldiers have been entering Khan Yunis, Gaza’s second largest city, and fighting hand-to-hand with Hamas fighters.
Like Gaza City, the Israeli army wants to establish complete control over this city also. By the way, Israeli action is currently going on in the entire Gaza Strip. After the attack on the Israeli army from the school in Shejaiya city of northern Gaza, the soldiers surrounded it and took action and killed the Hamas fighters present there. The Israeli army has found a large quantity of arms and ammunition in this school.
More than 17700 people have died so far
The bodies of 133 people killed in the fighting and 259 injured were brought to Al-Nasser and nearby Al-Aqsa hospitals in Khan Yunis in the 24 hours between Friday and Saturday. In the two-month long war in Gaza, more than 17,700 people have been killed so far and more than 50 thousand people are injured. Seven thousand Hamas fighters are estimated to be among those killed.
Civilians are being killed in the ongoing fighting in Gaza.
The injured are facing the worst plight because more than half of Gaza’s hospitals are closed due to shortage and in those that are running, the injured and sick are being treated on the ground. The World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed serious concern over this situation. Meanwhile, America has asked Israel to be more conscious about the safety of the common people and the supply of essential commodities. America has been continuously warning Israel in this regard even before the end of the ceasefire, but civilians are being killed in the ongoing fighting in war-torn Gaza.
Bodies of infants found in Al-Nasser Hospital
Mutilated bodies of newborn babies have been found in the ICU of Al-Nasser Hospital in Gaza’s Khan Younis city. These bodies were recovered inside life-saving equipment. This leads to suspicion that the medical personnel abandoned them or due to lack of electricity the equipment stopped working and the babies died inside them. Later no one came to remove their dead bodies from there. It is noteworthy that fighting is going on between Israeli soldiers and Hamas around Al-Nasser Hospital.
