Trump ahead in US presidential election 2024 survey: People said – Trump can do better than Biden on economy, Israel issues
Presidential elections are going to be held in America in 2024. Both former President Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden are in the race. According to the survey, Trump could be the next President. He is leading than Biden. According to a Wall Street Journal survey, 47% people want Trump to become president. Whereas 43% people want to make Biden the President. 17% people do not want to see both these leaders in top positions.
According to the survey, Trump is leading in 5 out of 6 swing states. These swing states are Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. In the 2020 election, Biden won all the swing states.
Swing states are battleground states in American politics. Republican and Democratic party candidates focus on these states. The victory of the candidate in these states can decide the direction of the elections.

People are disliking Biden. 52% people say that the economic condition of the country is bad. Because of this, Biden’s popularity declined. People hold them responsible for inflation, lack of corona management and expensive fuel prices.
Some people believe that Trump’s policies will be right in improving the economic situation. Trump can do a better job than Biden on economy, immigration, national security and Israel-Palestine issue.
Currently divided government in America
Midterm elections were held in America on 8 November 2022. The results of the mid-term elections determine the basis for candidacy for the presidential election to be held in 2024. In these elections, Trump’s Republican Party won 218 seats in the House of Representatives (Lower House).
Since then, Republicans have control in the Lower House of the US Parliament. This means that Biden has to rely on the opposition in Parliament, i.e. Donald Trump’s Republican Party, to take every major decision.
This is because whichever party wins in the House of Representatives, that party has dominance in the Parliament. The same party plays a more important role in making laws. Trump’s party has won here. This means that his party will decide which laws will be voted on.
Primaries were held for the US elections in May 2022. During primaries, candidates from both the major parties go among the public and on the basis of popularity then get candidature from their own party. In this, Trump’s party was ahead of Biden’s party.
