Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan and Ajay Devgan in trouble! Government sent show cause notice, reprimanded in court, what is the matter?
Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar and Shahrukh Khan are seen getting into trouble by advertising Gutkha. The central government has issued notices to all three artists. Responding to a contempt petition, the Central Government told the Allahabad Court that a notice has already been sent to Akshay, Shahrukh and Ajay in the Gutkha advertisement case. This matter was heard in the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court. The Central Government’s lawyer told the bench that this matter is also being heard in the Supreme Court.
The lawyer also demanded dismissal of the other petition. At the same time, the court has fixed the next hearing on this matter for May 9, 2024. Apart from this, the Centre’s counsel also told the court that Amitabh Bachchan had sent a legal notice to a gutkha company for airing its advertisement after his contract with it expired.
Petition filed against all three celebs
According to PTI report, the bench of Justice Rajesh Singh Chauhan first directed the central government to address the concerns of the petitioner. The petitioner had requested for action against these artists and people supporting Gutkha companies. The petitioner has claimed that despite giving the representation, the government did not take any action.
Only after this, in response to the contempt petition, the High Court issued a notice to the Cabinet Secretary of the Central Government. Deputy Solicitor General SB Pandey told the High Court on Friday that the Center has sent a show cause notice to Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan and Ajay Devgan. His reply on this is yet to come.
