Pakistan upset by Supreme Court’s decision on Article 370

There has been panic in Pakistan after the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. The Supreme Court has described this decision as legitimate and constitutional. The apex court has said in the decision that Article 370 was a temporary provision, whatever decision was taken by the central government was a decision taken within the scope of the Constitution. Along with this, the court has also ordered the Election Commission to conduct elections in Jammu and Kashmir by September 2024.
Turmoil in Pakistan
After the decision of the Supreme Court, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry is not able to think of anything. The Ministry of External Affairs can issue a statement regarding this, but no response has been received yet. According to Pakistani media, the Foreign Ministry can react on this matter on Monday evening.
Shahbaz Sharif sings an old tune
Former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the Indian Supreme Court has violated international laws by giving its decision against the UN resolutions. Shahbaz said that the court has betrayed the ‘sacrifice’ of lakhs of Kashmiris and this verdict will be seen as recognition of miscarriage of justice.
