Bihar: When the boy refused to marry, the girl threw acid on the boy, arrested
In Vaishali district of Bihar a 24-year-old woman attacked a man with acid after he allegedly refused to marry her, leaving the man with severe burns on his face. On Tuesday, police said the accused woman has been arrested and the search for another unidentified accused is on. According to the police, the incident took place in Simarwada village of Patepur police station area in the early hours of Tuesday.
Policemen said that 22-year-old victim Dharmendra Kumar is a taxi driver by profession who drives a taxi for his living. And after the incident, he is undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Hajipur. Vaishali Superintendent of Police (SP) Ravi Ranjan Kumar said that both the victim and the accused woman, Sarita Kumari, are neighbours, and have been in a relationship with each other for the last five months.
Let us tell you all that Dharmendra got a call from the accused woman at around 2 o’clock in the night, the woman wanted to meet him. The incident happened when he was about to leave after meeting the woman at her house. Dharmendra was attacked with acid on his face by the woman and an unidentified man, who is said to be known to the woman, who is currently absconding after the incident,’ said the SP.
After the incident, the local people heard the screams of the victim and hurriedly took him to the hospital. The SP said, “Dharmendra recorded his statement before the police at a private hospital in Hajipur, after which the woman was arrested on Tuesday afternoon.” The victim’s eyes and face were severely burnt.”
In his statement, the victim told the police that he had been talking to the accused woman, Sarita Kumari, for the last five months. During preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the accused woman is the mother of three children and had separated from her husband some time ago. During interrogation, the woman confessed that Dharmendra did not want to marry her. And his family fixed his marriage with another woman, after which he along with one of his acquaintances decided to spoil her face.
