Uttarakhand: Severe cold is falling from the mountains to the plains, frost alert issued for two days

The cold has increased due to snowfall in the higher reaches of the state. It is extremely cold from the mountains to the plains. To escape from this, people are resorting to bonfire.
Alert of frost for two days in the state
The weather patterns in the state are constantly changing. The Meteorological Department has predicted frost in the hilly districts for the next two days. Yellow alert has been issued for this. Due to frost, it will be very cold in the morning and night.
Severe cold in the mountains after snowfall
Since the snowfall, there is severe cold in the higher Himalayan areas as well as in the lower areas. The temperature is going into minus. Due to drop in temperature even water is freezing. At some places water sources are freezing and at some places water is not reaching homes.
People are resorting to bonfire to escape the cold
People are resorting to bonfires to escape the cold wave. In the hilly areas, people are being confined to their homes as the evening approaches. While on one hand snowfall has increased the problems of the local people, on the other hand snowfall is attracting the tourists. Hotel bookings for Christmas and New Year have already started getting full.
