We do not recognize Ladakh; China’s courage on SC’s decision on Article 370

The Supreme Court has approved the decision of the Parliament to remove Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan and now China have also reacted regarding this. China has brazenly claimed Ladakh. China on Wednesday said it does not accept the Supreme Court order, which approved the reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir. This is the second consecutive time that China has reacted to the Supreme Court’s decision. Earlier, China had said that the issue of Jammu and Kashmir should be resolved through talks. India and Pakistan should sit together and talk about this matter.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said that the Supreme Court decision will not change China’s stand. China has always believed that the western part of the India-China border is ours. Mao Ning said, ‘China has never recognized the Union Territory of Ladakh created unilaterally and illegally by India. The decision of the Indian court will not change our stand that the western part of the border between India and China is ours. Earlier in 2019, China had given a similar reaction when Article 370 was removed.

Earlier on Tuesday, Chinese spokesperson had said on Kashmir issue that India and Pakistan should sit and resolve the issue peacefully. This statement of China was also mischievous because India considers Jammu and Kashmir as its integral part and it is an internal matter. In such a situation, it would be a diplomatic mistake to accept Pakistan as a party in this matter. Mao Ning had said, ‘The issue of Kashmir has been pending for a long time. This needs to be settled peacefully as per the UN Charter.

‘Aksai Chin, Gilgit Baltistan and PoK are integral parts of India’

Earlier in 2019, China had said that the decision to reorganize Jammu and Kashmir and end its special status was wrong. At the same time, the Indian government completely rejects the stand of China and Pakistan. Home Minister Amit Shah has repeated many times in the House that Aksai Chin, Gilgit Baltistan and PoK are ours. We will take them back. After the removal of Article 370, China also tried to discuss this matter in the United Nations Security Council. However success was not achieved.
