CJI Chandrachud took a big step on the letter demanding euthanasia of the woman judge, Allahabad High Court submitted the report

A district judge of Uttar Pradesh has been accused of sexual harassment by a woman judge. After this, a report from Allahabad High Court on the status of complaints on this matter has been given to the Supreme Court. Supreme Court sources confirmed that the report was received on Friday.

The female judge had complained

The Supreme Court had refused to consider the complainant’s petition on December 13. The concerned Internal Complaints Committee had already considered the matter and passed a resolution seeking the approval of the Chief Justice of the High Court. After this, the complainant (a civil judge) wrote an open letter to CJI DY Chandrachud seeking permission to end his life.

Taking cognizance of the letter, CJI Chandrachud had asked the SC Registry to seek a report from the High Court on the status of the complaints. In her two-page letter, the complainant judicial officer had accused her senior of sexual harassment in her previous posting six months ago and said she had no hope of getting a fair investigation, leave alone justice.

Know what the woman wrote in the letter

In the letter, the woman had written, “I joined the judicial service with great enthusiasm and belief that I would provide justice to the common people. Little did I know that whichever door I would go to, I would soon be turned into a beggar for justice. “In the short period of my service, I have had the honor of facing abuse on the stage in open court. I have been sexually harassed to the extreme. I have been treated like garbage.” The woman’s letter went viral on social media on Thursday.

The woman judge wrote alleging that she was asked to meet her superior at night. He claimed that he had tried to kill himself (suicide) but the attempt was not successful. I have no desire to live anymore. In the last one and a half years, I have been turned into a walking corpse.”
