61 migrants going from Libya to Europe died; The boat could not stand against the strong waves of the sea; Women and children included among those who died

More than 60 migrants on board have died after a boat capsized near Libya. Women and children were also included in this boat. The boat had left for Europe from Jwara Port in Libya with 86 people.

The world’s most dangerous route
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has declared the route from Libya to Europe as the most dangerous migration route. According to some monitoring groups, more than 20 thousand people have died or gone missing on this route since 2014.

Most of those who died were from Nigeria, Gambia and other African countries. 25 people who survived this accident have been sent to a detention center in Libya.

300 people from Pakistan died in the race to go to Europe
