Breach in Parliament security is a very serious matter: Prime Minister Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the breach in the security of Parliament is a very serious matter and the opposition should not create controversy over this matter. During an interview with a Hindi newspaper, PM Modi said that the investigating agencies are probing the matter and taking strict steps. He said that it is equally important to reach the depth of the people involved in this attack and their motive.

According to the newspaper, Modi described this incident of security breach as painful and worrying. He said, ‘Everyone should try to find a solution together. Everyone should avoid debate or resistance on such issues. The Prime Minister said, ‘The seriousness of the incident that happened in Parliament cannot be underestimated.’

He said that the Lok Sabha Speaker is taking necessary steps regarding this matter with full seriousness. On December 13, during the proceedings of the Lok Sabha, two people jumped inside the House from the audience gallery. Opposition parties are demanding Home Minister Amit Shah to give a statement on this matter, some leaders have also demanded Shah’s resignation.

The government says that the security of the Parliament complex is the responsibility of the Lok Sabha Secretariat and it has been following the instructions of the Speaker. He mentioned many such incidents of lapses in the past and accused the opposition of doing politics on this matter. When asked about BJP choosing relatively new and unknown leaders as chief ministers of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, Modi said that these leaders have a lot of experience and have worked hard.

Taking a dig at those raising questions about BJP’s selection, he said that it has been the misfortune of the country that a large section of people who create an impact in social life with their speech, their intelligence and their personality, are considered a stereotype. -Stuck in a beaten, closed mindset. He said, ‘This is not limited to the political field only. This tendency troubles us in all areas of life. If a name becomes big in any field, if someone does his own ‘branding’, then other people do not pay attention, no matter how talented they are, no matter how good they do. Same thing happens in the field of politics also.

He said that it is unfortunate that for many decades the media’s attention has been focused mostly on a few families and due to this the talent and usefulness of the new people is not being discussed. The Prime Minister said, ‘Because of this, sometimes some people seem new to you, but the truth is that they are not new. They have their own long penance and experience.

Ignoring the candidature of former Chief Ministers Raman Singh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Vasundhara Raje, the BJP leadership has selected Vishnu Dev Sai, Mohan Yadav and Bhajan Lal Sharma as the Chief Ministers of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan respectively. Regarding the Supreme Court’s decision on Article 370, Modi said that the Supreme Court has given its approval to the abrogation of this article and ‘now no power in the universe can bring it back.’

Referring to BJP’s excellent performance in the recent assembly elections, he said that this has shown that the party is ready to achieve a historic victory again in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He said that the opposition parties should introspect as to why people do not accept their claims.
