Truth and Reality

Hamas hid the hostages in such a hole, the Israeli army struggled to find them, the soldiers were getting frustrated.

Israel has repeatedly reiterated about its ongoing military operation in Gaza that its objective is to eliminate Hamas and free the hostages. In this war that has been going on for more than 70 days, Israel has said that it has destroyed hundreds of Hamas hideouts and killed many of its commanders, but its hands have remained empty in the second objective i.e. rescuing the hostages. Despite continuous efforts, the Israeli army has not been able to find even a single hostage. All the hostages released by Hamas have been released under the ceasefire agreement.

The Jerusalem Post, quoting a source associated with the Israeli army, has said in its report that frustration is increasing in the Israeli army. As a result of this, on Friday the army opened fire on the hostages and killed three people. The report said that the Israeli army had intensified the operation only after receiving information about the presence of hostages in the Shajaiya area where this incident took place. Even after the incident, the IDF conducted an extensive investigation but no hostages were found. Despite destroying several tunnels in Gaza and destroying potential targets of Hamas, the IDF’s empty hand is increasing its frustration.

Israeli soldiers finding themselves empty handed
According to the report, Israel’s ground and air operations have caused massive destruction in Gaza. Buildings have been demolished and people have taken shelter in other places. After the North, the Israeli army has also continuously advanced in South Gaza but it is lagging behind in its declared goals. Since no trace of the hostages has been found even in 70 days, Israeli soldiers are feeling that perhaps this is not possible for them. Due to this, frustration is increasing among the army units.

Since the soldiers could not find any trace of the hostages, the Israeli government has again started trying to negotiate with Hamas. This has also proved to be disappointing news for the IDF. On the other hand, demonstrations are increasing day and night in Israel to free the hostages. This is putting huge pressure on both the government and the army. Apart from these, the Israeli Army is also being accused from all over the world of failing to protect the common people. The Israeli army is also being criticized for the deaths of civilians in Gaza, which is putting a mental pressure on the soldiers.
