Israel Hamas War: Increased pressure on Israel to provide relief to Gaza, accused of conspiracy to starve Palestinians

Pressure on Israel is increasing regarding military action in Gaza Strip. After the resolution demanding a ceasefire was passed with an overwhelming majority in the United Nations General Assembly, America is trying to reduce the intensity of Israeli action in Gaza and make it more precisely targeted. There should also be uninterrupted supply of relief material to Gaza.

With these expectations in mind, US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin reached Israel on Monday. This is the second visit by a top US government official after National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s visit to Israel last week. But amid these efforts, Israeli army attacks continue in Gaza.

110 people were killed in the latest attack

110 people have been killed and more than 100 injured in the latest attack in the Jabaliya refugee area in northern Gaza. France, Britain and Germany have also joined the global demand for a ceasefire in Gaza. All three major European countries have expressed the need for a ceasefire while US Defense Secretary Austin is in Israel. All three European countries, besides being close allies of America, have also been supporting Israel on the global stage.

Voting may take place in the United Nations Security Council

Meanwhile, talks regarding ceasefire are going on between Israel and Hamas under the mediation of Qatar. Whereas there is a possibility that in the meeting of the United Nations Security Council on Monday-Tuesday night, the proposal for uninterrupted supply of relief material in Gaza may be voted on.

More than 150 places bombed in Gaza in 24 hours

Meanwhile, Israeli army attacks continue in Gaza. In the 24 hours of Sunday-Monday, it bombed more than 150 places in Gaza. So far, 19 thousand Palestinians and 126 Israeli army soldiers have been killed in this battle.

Allegation of conspiracy to starve Palestinians

American human rights organization Human Rights Watch has said that the Israeli army is blocking food, water and other essential items being sent to Gaza for war-stricken Palestinians. This has been happening since the beginning of the war that has been going on since October 7, due to which Gaza’s 23 lakh population is suffering from hunger and thirst.

The organization has alleged that Israel is working on a conspiracy to starve the people of Gaza by doing so. Israel has described Human Rights Watch as an anti-Semitic organization and said that the organization’s silence on the October 7 Hamas attack is proof of this.
