Ruckus in Parliament, 33 MPs from Lok Sabha and 34 from Rajya Sabha suspended, Adhir Ranjan also punished

Protests by opposition parties are still continuing in the matter of security lapse in Parliament. Despite the Speaker’s repeated refusal, action is being taken against opposition party MPs for creating ruckus. Today on Monday, 33 opposition MPs have been suspended from the Lok Sabha. Congress leader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Choudhary has also been suspended due to the uproar. Let us tell you that most of these MPs have been suspended for the entire winter session.

14 MPs already suspended

Let us tell you that 33 MPs have been suspended on Monday itself. Even before this, 13 MPs from Lok Sabha and 1 from Rajya Sabha have been suspended. Accordingly, the total number of suspended MPs has reached 47. All of them are accused of disrupting the proceedings of the House and contempt of the chair.

Government is committing atrocities – Adhir Ranjan

On his suspension from the Lok Sabha, Congress leader in the Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Choudhary said that all the leaders including me have been suspended. We have been demanding for many days that our MPs who were suspended earlier should be reinstated and the Home Minister should come to the House and give a statement. Adhir said that the Home Minister gives statements on TV every day. He can also speak a little in Parliament on what the government is doing for the security of Parliament. Today’s government has reached the height of atrocities, we just wanted discussion.

Here is the reason for suspension

A total of 33 Lok Sabha MPs were suspended from Parliament on Monday. These include Congress leader in the House Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, DMK MPs TR Baalu and Dayanidhi Maran and TMC’s Saugata Roy. 30 MPs have been suspended for the entire winter session and 3 MPs have been suspended pending the report of the Privileges Committee. K Jayakumar, Vijay Vasanth and Abdul Khaliq had climbed onto the Speaker’s podium to raise slogans. After being nominated by the Chairman, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi moved a motion regarding the suspension and it was passed by voice vote. After this the proceedings of the House have been adjourned for the day.

34 MPs also suspended from Rajya Sabha

34 opposition MPs who were creating ruckus in Rajya Sabha have been suspended by the Chairman. Several Rajya Sabha MPs, including Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh, Randeep Surjewala and KC Venugopal, were suspended for the remainder of the winter session of Parliament. With this, Rajya Sabha has been adjourned till tomorrow 19th December.
