CRPF trainee soldier committed suicide by hanging himself in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, had come home on leave.

A trainee soldier of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Monday allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in a government school in Gujarat’s Bhavnagar district. Police gave this information. An official of Palitana rural police station said that Ajay Vaghela (24) was found hanging from the ceiling of a government school building near his house in Moti Paniyali village of Palitana in the morning. He told that Vaghela was taking training at the CRPF Recruitment Training Center in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh and had come to his village on leave.

In another case, a few weeks ago, the wife of a Gujarat cadre IPS officer allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at their residence in Ahmedabad. The officer’s 47-year-old wife Shaluben was found hanging from the ceiling fan in a room of their Thaltej residence in the morning. Assistant Police Commissioner SM Patel said that Shaluben hanged herself at night after returning from Surat. No suicide note was found at the spot, due to which the police registered the case as accidental death. Later, Shaluben’s body was sent to Sola Civil Hospital for post-mortem.

The couple was in Surat for a few days to attend a wedding. Shaluben returned late at night when her husband was already sleeping. The next morning, he found his wife’s body hanging in a separate room on the ground floor and immediately contacted the local police. Preliminary investigation suggests that Shaluben took his own life due to yet unknown reasons, the ACP said.
