Hamas releases video of hostages, Israel calls ‘cruelty against the elderly’
Terrorist group Hamas released a short on Monday showing three elderly Israeli hostages. He was taken hostage by Hamas terrorists during the October 7 attack. Responding to this, Israel has called it a ‘criminal terror video’. According to Reuters report, the three elderly men shown in the video released by Hamas have been identified by Israel as 79-year-old Chaim Perry, 80-year-old Yoram Metzger and 84-year-old Amiram Cooper.
Elderly people held hostage for more than 10 weeks
The people Israel has identified through this video were held hostage for more than 10 weeks. In the video posted by Hamas on Telegram, three elderly bearded men are seen sitting next to each other.
Hostages request Israel to ensure unconditional release
In this video, Perry, sitting in the middle, talks to the camera, saying that he and other elderly hostages who have health problems are struggling with very poor conditions. He has requested Israel to ensure his unconditional release.
Peri Kibbutz surrenders himself to terrorists after saving his wife
Perry was at his home in Kibbutz Nir Oz during the Hamas attack. His son told Reuters that he tried to repel Hamas militants by hiding his wife behind a sofa. He handed himself over to Hamas fighters to save his wife, while his wife remained in hiding.
Yoram Metzger’s family reacted like this
Ayala Metzger, the daughter-in-law of 80-year-old Yoram Metzger, said on the video released by Hamas that she felt both joy and shock when she saw the video. “It was a moment of happiness to see him alive, but to see him like this Shockingly, “With the beard he had grown, he had lost weight and looked weak and pale.”
