Pakistan on Tuesday announced a 17-member squad led by Shaheen Shah Afridi for the five-match T20 series against New Zealand starting on January 12, in which some new faces have been included. The selectors have included wicketkeeper batsman Hasibullah, all-rounder Abbas Afridi and spinner Abrar Ahmed in the T20 team for the first time.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) last month appointed Afridi as the new captain of the T20 team after Babar Azam stepped down from the captaincy of all three formats, while Masood was made the Test captain. Test captain Shan Masood has not been included in the team.
