Due to CM Yogi’s displeasure, the DM of these three districts of UP will be punished!

In view of the cold wave and cold in the state, the Yogi government has already given instructions to make complete arrangements for bonfires and blankets. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, more than Rs 29 crore is being spent for all 75 districts of the state.

Officers could not buy blankets in three districts
Whereas the work of purchasing blankets has been completed in 72 districts, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his displeasure over the delay in three districts. On the instructions of the CM, clarification has been sought from the District Magistrates of the three districts. The Chief Minister has clear instructions that there should be no shortage of bonfires and blankets anywhere. Also, there should not be any compromise with the quality of the blanket.

DM of these districts showed negligence
Blanket distribution and bonfire arrangements in the districts are being monitored directly at the Chief Secretary level. While the government is spending Rs 27.27 crore for the purchase of blankets for all 75 districts of the state, a provision of Rs 1.77 crore has been made for the bonfire.

Till now, the process of purchasing blankets has been completed in 72 districts of the state, while in Kanpur Dehat, Sambhal and Etah, the Chief Minister has expressed his displeasure over the delay in this work and has given instructions to seek clarification from their District Magistrates.

More than 45 thousand blankets distributed so far
Till December 20, procurement of 3,30,794 blankets has been completed in the state, while 45,293 blankets have also been distributed. At the same time, 1,199 night shelters have been operated across the state. Apart from this, the Yogi government has also allocated Rs 50 thousand per tehsil for lighting bonfires.

The Chief Minister has given instructions to purchase a total of 24 thousand blankets at the rate of L-1 by Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Moradabad divisions through open tender from Khadi Village Industries Board. In view of the cold wave in the state, a provision of Rs 120 crore has been made in the State Disaster Response Fund by the Yogi government.
