Uttarakhand: Elephant dead body found lying in field in Dehradun, panic in forest department

Big news is coming out from Dehradun. The carcass of an elephant was found in a field in Majri Grant, Doiwala. As soon as the news of the incident spread, there was panic in the area. After receiving the information, the Forest Department team reached the spot.

A case of death of an elephant has come to light in Majri Grant under Barkot range of Doiwala. The dead body of the elephant was found lying in the field. The villagers informed the forest department about the incident. After receiving the information, the forest department team reached the spot and took possession of the elephant’s dead body.

Awaiting post mortem report
The primary reasons for the elephant’s death are being ascertained. Barkot Range Ranger Dheeraj Rawat says that the exact cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report comes. The ranger told that this is a male elephant Tusker. Whose age was around 11 to 12 years.

There was movement of wild elephants in the area
Anil Pal, village head of Majri Grant, said that for some time the villagers were receiving complaints about the presence of wild elephants in the area. After which a complaint was also made to the Forest Department.
