According to the information, last Wednesday the villagers informed the police that the dead body of a newborn was lying in the army village. After receiving information about the incident, the police team reached the spot and took the body into custody.

The dead body is said to be that of a four to five day old girl
The body is said to be that of a girl of about four to five days old. Police believe that an outsider woman gave birth to the baby girl. The woman might have thrown the child away due to fear of public shame.

Police engaged in investigation
According to the information, police station in-charge Manohar Singh Bhandari said that the body has been sent to the mortuary of the district hospital. CCTV footage installed in the village is being scrutinized. The accused will be arrested soon.
