The state government has started preparations for the budget for the new financial year 2024-25. To make the budget in line with public sentiments, the government has sought suggestions from the common people on the budget. Till January 10, 2024, any person can send his suggestions on the budget to the government through website, e-mail, WhatsApp.

Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal said, the state budget will be the people’s budget. The budget will be made in accordance with public sentiments on public suggestions. The state government has started preparations for the state budget for the year 2024-25.

Said, some reforms have been started in making the general budget of the state. In this, an attempt was made to obtain accurate information about human resources working in various departments and public institutions. For the first time, at the level of the Head of the Department, a provision has been made to demand the budget only after filling the complete details of the sanctioned and working posts on the IFMS portal.

Dialogue will be held with stakeholders on the budget

Aggarwal said, arrangements have been made to make provision for gender budget for the schemes run in the department at the secretary level. Instructions were given to all secretaries to take cognizance of the suggestions received in the last year for public participation in budget preparation. Suggestions have been invited from the people for the budget for the new financial year 2024-25.
