Chaudhary Ramkumar Walia, former Minister of State of Uttarakhand and National President of the Indian Kisan Union, has said that today’s farmer leaders should take inspiration from the life of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh Ji. Walia today Chaudhary Charan Singh Ji, located at Shimla Bye Pass Chowk, Dehradun. He was addressing the gathering by garlanding the statue of Chaudhary Charan Singh in the tribute meeting organized on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
Walia, while garlanding the people present here, said that the life of Chaudhary Charan Singh ji was full of simplicity and he was truly a well-wisher of the farmers and was the messiah of the farmers. Chaudhary Saheb worked for the upliftment of the farmers throughout his life. While holding the post of the Prime Minister of the country, he also took over the power of the country and led India efficiently. Ram Kumar Walia said that till whose son will not go to the Legislative Assemblies and Lok Sabha, the voice of the farmers will be raised in these houses. He appealed to the farmers that today, along with farming work, they should also engage in social service and should train their children in patriotism as well as social service. Addressing the gathering, former MLA of Jhabreda and member of BJP State Vice President Deshraj Karanwal said that Chaudhary Charan Singh was a leader not only of the farmers but of the entire society. He worked for the upliftment of the entire society. The meeting was presided over by Jat Sabha President Chaudhary Ompal Singh Rathi and conducted by Chaudhary Dariav Singh. On this occasion, a large number of farmer leaders including Sudhir Chaudhary, Sanjeev Chaudhary, Farooq Chaudhary, Harendra Chaudhary were present.
