Union Minister of State for Defense and Tourism Ajay Bhatt met Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Puri. During this, he has submitted a demand letter to operate metro from Kathgodam, Haldwani via Ramnagar, Kashipur, Bajpur, Gadarpur, Dineshpur, Rudrapur, Kichha, Nanakmatta, Sitarganj, Khatima.

Ajay Bhatt meets Union Housing and Urban Development Minister

Union Minister Ajay Bhatt said that he met Union Minister Hardeep Puri and told that Uttarakhand state is a very important state from religious and tourism point of view. There has been a demand by the local public for a long time to run metro train from Kathgodam, Haldwani to the above places, which is also very necessary. If metro train operates from Kathgodam-Haldwani to the above places, then the population of Terai region will benefit from it and tourism will also get a boost.

Demand letter submitted for running metro from Kathgodam to Khatima

Since Rudrapur city and SIDCUL are located in Sitarganj under Udham Singh Nagar district, people from hilly and terai along with other areas of the country work there. But at present people have to travel there by bus or other means. This takes more time and also costs more. If metro trains operate at the above mentioned places, then workers and employees working in SIDCUL will get a lot of convenience in going to their workplace. Therefore, in public interest, it is very important to operate the metro train from Kathgodam Haldwani via Ramnagar-Kashipur-Bajpur-Gadarpur-Dineshpur-Rudrapur-Kichha-Nanakmatta-Sitarganj-Khatima-Lalkua under Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts of Uttarakhand state.
