Badminton: Chirag Sen and Tanvi in the final of national badminton singles, Kiran George out after losing in the semi-finals

Chirag Sen entered the men’s singles final of the 85th National Senior Badminton Championship by defeating second seed Kiran George in the semi-finals. Chirag defeated Kiran 21-18, 21-18. Now he will face fourth seed Tharun, who defeated Bharat Raghav 21-11, 16-21, 21-19. Chirag is the elder brother of Commonwealth Games champion Lakshya Sen.

In the women’s singles semi-finals, Tanvi Sharma defeated Isha Rani Barua 21-15, 20-22, 21-14 and Haryana’s Anmol Kharb defeated second seed Ashmita Chaliha 21-17, 21-19. Odisha Masters winners Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Cresto reached the mixed doubles final. They defeated Deep Rambhiya and Akshay Warang 21-11, 21-13. His title fight will be with Nitin Kumar and Navadha Mangalam.
