International Film Festival inaugurated in Mussoorie, documentary made on river Ganga shown
The International Film Festival was inaugurated today in Mussoorie, the queen of hills. A four-part documentary film titled Ganga Katha was screened at the event today. The film has been made by anthropologist and author Dr. Lokesh Ohri, who has made these films for the National Mission for Clean Ganga and the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage Intake. .
The films presented an interesting account of the cultural and intangible heritage of the River Ganga, its built heritage and aspects of the communities living around this sacred river. The screening took place at The Fern, Brentwood, where filmmaker Ohri also interacted with the audience. Who asked him questions about his research on river Ganga. About 70 people attended the screening.
The day started with a heritage walk organized by Dr. Lokesh and his team on the churches of Mussoorie. In which about 80 people participated. Under this, the entire group went to three churches. Union Church, Central Methodist Church and Christ Church where he was introduced to their history.
