Uttarakhand: BJP stands with the public and public concerns on the issue of original residence and land law.
BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt said that we have formed the state, naturally our attachment with public concerns is also clear. The question arises on Congress, which had opposed not only the creation of the state but also the land law brought by the Khanduri government in the House. The parties pursuing local politics will also have to answer why they stood in opposition when action was taken on land and love jihad to save Devbhoomi. Is his seat sharing with Congress that is why he is standing with the party which is against state creation?
Answering media questions, he said that BJP is a responsible party regarding public sentiments and till now it has been living up to public expectations. He said that the party’s objective is clear regarding land law. The government first constituted the Land Law Committee and after receiving its recommendations, it has formed a high level drafting committee which will examine it and examine all its aspects. He said that BJP will definitely provide strong land law to the state. To protect the culture and demography of the state, BJP has already brought a strict law against land jihad.
Bhatt said that the government has also clarified the situation regarding the original residence. An illusion is being spread regarding the original residence that the original residents are being made permanent, whereas this arrangement was made due to the difficulties being faced in the appointment process. This will not affect the rights. CM Dhami has already issued instructions for this that the original residence holders will not need permanent residence certificate.
Urging people to be patient, Bhatt attacked Congress’s opportunism and said that the state had seen how land wealth was looted and distributed during the Congress rule from 2003 to 2007. Not only this, when the Khanduri government brought the proposal of land law in the Assembly, the same Congress did not allow it to be passed by creating ruckus and disruption in the House. He alleged that Congress has been opposed to state formation and also against the land law. Right now, in their eagerness to get power, they are pretending to support the land law. He took a jibe at all other political parties including Ukraine that they all want to burn their stale political bread with the heat of land law. They have to be told why all these people were raising noise about secularism when the strictest law was brought to protect the sister daughters of Devbhoomi from illegal conversion. Even when land jihad was being planned in the form of religious encroachment, these same people were opposing the government’s action. The people of the state are seeing that by doing politics in the name of local interests, these parties are following the religion of Indi alliance and are doing injustice to Uttarakhand. They should tell whether Congress is going to leave any Lok Sabha for them in seat sharing, otherwise why are the states supporting the opposition party.
