According to the information, 25 year old R. Nandini was a software engineer, who was a resident of Mudrai. He fell in love with Pandi Maheshwari, who studied with him. Both of them studied together since childhood. Then decided to get married. For this, Pandi Maheshwari got her gender changed and changed her name to Vetrimaaran. Vetrimaaran is 26 years old.

This is how the murder was carried out
According to the information, Vetrimaaran said that he would surprise R. Nandini on her birthday on Saturday at Thalambur near Kelambakkam, a southern suburb of Chennai. Then Nandini was blindfolded. After this he was also tied with chains. Then he was burnt alive.

Gender change was done only on Nandini’s request
It is being claimed that Vetrimaaran got the gender change done only on the insistence of Nandini. But then Nandini backed out from the marriage. Vetrimaaran got angry at this. He planned to kill Nandini and carried out the murder as per the plan. He had decided to give a cruel death to Nandini and he burnt her alive. Police have taken Vetrimaaran into judicial custody and he is being interrogated.
