There are many man-made caves in Almora
According to the Archaeological Survey of India, there are many man-made caves of prehistoric period between Petshal and Badechhina on Pithoragarh Highway, at a distance of 13 km from Almora city. Let us tell you that earlier also a cave of primitive humans called Lakhudiyar has been discovered here. ASI claims that there are many more thousands of years old caves present here.

Preparations begin to unveil unsolved mysteries
By discovering prehistoric caves, the Archaeological Survey of India has also started preparations to unveil the unsolved mysteries of the ancient civilization. Let us tell you that in January, ASI will conduct a campaign to search for caves within 15 km radius of Lakhudiyar area. It is being told that in the earlier survey conducted by ASI, three caves were discovered in this area where evidence of habitation of primitive humans has been found.
