ISRO will launch this big mission on January 1, 2024
ISRO is going to do wonders in 2024 also. On January 1, ISRO will launch its X-ray Polarimeter Satellite to investigate the intense polarization of X-ray sources in space. This will be India’s first polarimeter mission. Before this, in 2021, NASA launched the Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer. After that mission, this is the second such mission in the world. The eyes of not only India but the entire world are fixed on this mission.
When will it be launched?
According to ISRO, the XPoSat mission will be launched from ISRO’s trusted launch vehicle PSLV at 9:10 am on January 1. This mission will help in uncovering the unsolved mysteries of the universe like supernova explosions. Its main objective will be to solve the sources of light and energy. This satellite will be installed in a low orbit of 650 km from the Earth. This satellite will be useful for about 5 years. The two payloads in it have been developed at Raman Research Institute in Bengaluru and ISRO’s U R Rao Satellite Centre.
