New Year will not be celebrated in Pakistan, government itself announced
New Year will not be celebrated this year in Pakistan. This announcement has been made by none other than Pakistan’s acting Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar himself. He has said that this year New Year celebrations have been banned in Pakistan. This ban has been done to express solidarity with the Palestinian people. Pakistan supports Palestine from the beginning. For this reason, Pakistan has not even recognized Israel as a country till date. Experts believe that this decision of the Pakistan government is completely political. Elections are to be held in Pakistan on 8 February next year. In such a situation, the ruling coalition in this country built in the name of religion will try to get the votes of fundamentalists by showing love for Palestine.
Pakistani PM announced ban
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Qakar said in an address to the nation today: “In view of the gravely worrying situation in Palestine and to show solidarity with our Palestinian brothers and sisters, the government has prohibited any A strict ban has been imposed on this type of event.” He urged the nation to show solidarity with the Palestinians and display restraint and humility in the New Year. Kakar alleged that the Israeli military has crossed all limits of violence and injustice, with nearly 9,000 children killed since the Israeli bombardment began on October 7. He said that the Israeli army has killed more than 21,000 Palestinians so far.

Kakar said Pakistan has expressed the plight of the Palestinian people at every available global forum and will continue to do so in the future to stop Israeli bloodshed. He said that Pakistan has sent two aid packages to Palestine while the third package is being prepared.
