Priyanka Gandhi’s troubles increase in money laundering case! Name appeared for the first time in ED chargesheet

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi’s problems may increase in the case of money laundering. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also mentioned Priyanka Gandhi’s name for the first time in its charge sheet. However, his name has not been registered as an accused. In the ED charge sheet, Priyanka’s name has been mentioned in the context of her connection with the accused in the land purchase. Along with Priyanka, the name of her husband Robert Vadra is also mentioned in this charge sheet.
According to the ED charge sheet, CC Thampi, an alleged associate of Sanjay Bhandari, purchased 486 acres of land in village Amipur in Faridabad district of Haryana from 2005 to 2008 through HL Pahwa, a real estate agent of Delhi-NCR. Robert Vadra also purchased 3 pieces of land measuring 334 kanal (40.08 acres) in Amipur from HL Pahwa from 2005–2006 and sold the same land to HL Pahwa in December 2010.
Sold the land to the person from whom it was bought
According to the charge sheet, Robert Vadra’s wife Priyanka Gandhi Vadra purchased 40 kanals (5 acres) of agricultural land in Amipur village from HL Pahwa in April 2006. In February 2010, the same land was sold to HL Pahwa. During this time, Pahwa was also receiving cash for land acquisition. ED has alleged that Robert Vadra did not give the entire sale amount to Pahwa. Investigation in this regard is still going on. Let us tell you that in 2019, Aaj Tak had broken the news of this land deal related to Priyanka Gandhi and Robert Vadra.
Bhandari had fled to Britain in 2016
ED has filed the charge sheet on Tuesday. Bhandari had fled to Britain in 2016. The British government, acting on the legal request of the ED and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), had approved his extradition to India in January this year. ED and CBI are investigating charges of money laundering and tax evasion against Sanjay Bhandari for allegedly having undisclosed assets abroad.

Sanjay Bhandari has various undisclosed foreign income and assets, including the following properties at No. 12 Bryanston Square, London and 6 Grosvenor Hill Court, London.
