Uttarakhand: Uniformed employees demanding facilities on the lines of police, government sought information from departments

There are hundreds of employees of various departments in Uttarakhand who are working as uniformed personnel but they are not being given the same facilities as the police. Keeping this issue in front of Additional Chief Secretary Finance Anand Vardhan, the State Employees Joint Council has demanded to provide the same facilities as the police to the employees working in uniform in various departments of the state. In this context, on behalf of the State Employees Joint Council, he met with ACS Finance Anand Vardhan and presented his demand letter.

The special thing is that after placing the demand on behalf of the delegation of State Employees Joint Council, the government has taken steps on this and has also sought information from the heads of the departments. Under this, the government has asked the departments to provide information about the facilities provided to the uniformed employees in these departments so far. After this, the government will take further action on receiving this information.

Actually, various allowances are given to the police personnel in the state, whereas like the police, there are many employees working as uniformed personnel in various departments who do not get this facility. These employees include uniformed personnel of Excise Department, uniformed personnel of Transport Department and personnel of Forest Department. After the efforts made by the State Employees Joint Council for this, the government is now collecting information related to this. State President of State Employees Joint Council, Arun Pandey said that there are many allowances which should be given to various employees including washing allowance, uniform allowance.
