Truth and Reality

ISRO will launch a historic satellite on January 1, the world’s second satellite that will reveal the secrets of the universe.

ISRO is going to create history at around 9 am on January 1, 2024. XPoSAT satellite will be launched from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota on the very first day of the year. This satellite will study the radiation occurring in space. Will take pictures of their sources.

The telescope installed in it has been made by Raman Research Institute. This satellite will study the 50 brightest sources of the universe. Like- Pulsar, Black Hole X-ray Binary, Active Galactic Nuclei, Non-thermal Supernova. The satellite will be deployed at an altitude of 650 km.

This mission was started by ISRO in the year 2017. The cost of this mission is Rs 9.50 crore. Approximately 22 minutes after launching, the Exposat satellite will have been deployed in its designated orbit. This satellite has two payloads. First – POLIX and second – XSPECT.

Know about Polix…

Polix is the main payload of this satellite. It has been created jointly by Raman Research Institute and UR Rao Satellite Centre. This 126 kg instrument will study the magnetic field, radiation, electrons etc. of sources in space. It will study the energy band of 8-30 keV range. Polix will study 40 out of the 50 brightest objects in space.

The expectation is also amazing…

XSPECT means X-ray spectroscopy and timing. It will study the energy band of 0.8-15 keV range. That is, it will study lower energy bands than the range of pollix. It will study pulsars, black hole binaries, low-magnetic field neutron stars, magnetars etc.

This will be the 60th flight of PSLV rocket

The total weight of the XPoSAT satellite is 469 kg. Which has two payloads of 144 kg each. Probable launch is 25th December. It will be launched by PSLV rocket from the first launch pad of Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. Till now 59 flights of PSLV rocket have been made. Only two of those launches have failed.

This is the 60th flight of PSLV. Whereas this is the fourth flight of PSLV-DL. This rocket weighs 320 tons. Its height is 44.4 meters. This is a 2.8 meter diameter rocket of 4 stages. Its first flight took place on 20 September 1993. Since then it has successfully launched many domestic and foreign satellites.
