Uttarakhand: Accused of assault on policeman in Haridwar, warned of suicide if action is not taken
In Haridwar, a youth has accused a policeman of assault. The victim complained about the matter to the Additional Superintendent of Police office. Along with this, he has warned of suicide if action is not taken.
Allegations of assault against policeman
The matter is of Maharajpur Kalan village of Kotwali area. Village resident Manish submitted a complaint letter to the office of Additional Superintendent of Police Manoj Thakur. The victim told that on December 27, he was preparing for Bhandara in the Shiv temple located in the village. Meanwhile, a village resident youth having a grudge reached the temple and started abusing him.
Gave warning of suicide if action was not taken
Meanwhile, Manish called his brother-in-law’s friend, the policeman posted at Raisi police post, to the spot. It is alleged that the policeman brought him to the post and beat him up. Manish has demanded strict action against the policeman.
Manish warned that if action was not taken in the matter, he would commit suicide. According to the information, regarding the matter, Additional Superintendent of Police Manoj Thakur said that he is on leave. But the matter will be investigated.
