Uttarakhand: ACS Radha Raturi reviewed the Home Department, proceedings for formation of Anti Narcotics Task Force started in the state
In view of human rights protection, Additional Chief Secretary Home Radha Raturi has given strict instructions to all senior superintendents of police of the districts to immediately and on top priority complete the supply of security personnel to take prisoners to medical facilities etc. on the demand of prisons. Along with this, in order to realize Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s vision of a drugs-free Devbhoomi as soon as possible, Radha Raturi made a clear proposal for the formation of an Anti-Narcotics Task Force in the state, one drugs inspector each in Garhwal and Kumaon divisions and 35 other personnel. Instructions have been given to the Police Department to send it to the Home Department immediately.
In this important meeting held in the Secretariat on Friday, ACS Radha Raturi gave instructions to speed up the process of formation of SISF (State Industrial Security Force) to be formed for the security of public establishments, banks, helipads, heliports, industrial establishments in Uttarakhand. Gave it to police, home guards and other concerned departments. In the meeting he reviewed all the pending proposals related to this. Additional Chief Secretary said that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given instructions to form State Industrial Security Force (SISF) in the state on the lines of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). There is an urgent need for a responsible and sensitive security force for tight security of banks, industrial establishments, helipads and government undertakings in the state.
In today’s meeting, Radha Raturi has given instructions to fully constitute Anti Narcotics Task Force to deal strictly with drug smugglers. He has also instructed the police officers to study the Himachal Pradesh model and Uttar Pradesh model in this regard. In this direction, cooperation of National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) will be taken to break the backbone of drug smugglers and expose interstate and international gangs. Special Secretary Home Ridhim Aggarwal and senior officials of various departments concerned were present in the meeting.
