Uttarakhand: CM Dhami participated in the 18th religious grand event of Shri Ram Katha organized by Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran Gyan-Yagya Organizing Committee in Badrinath Temple

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday participated in the 18th religious mega-event of Shri Ram Katha organized by Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran Gyan-Yagya Organizing Committee at Badrinath Temple in Vinod Nagar Ward. On this occasion he listened to Shri Ram Katha. Shri Ram Katha was read by Bhagwatcharya Dr. Geeta Ram Tripathi.

The Chief Minister said that it is his good fortune that today he has got the opportunity to witness the story of Shri Ram. He said that the entire life of Lord Shri Ram is a philosophy. If we can follow them and take even a few steps on the path of life, we will make this life meaningful. When he was exiled from his father, he told him what should be the religion of a son. He hugged Bharat and told him what should be the dharma of an elder brother. When he met Kevat and Sugriva, he told them what should be the religion of a friend. Even when he came face to face with Ravana, he told us how we should follow religion despite enmity. Even when Ram became the king, he told what should be the religion of a king. That is why he is called Maryada Purushottam and even today if we have any wish, we wish for Ram Rajya.

The Chief Minister said that every incident and every decision of Lord Ram’s life is enough to make us an ideal person. Ram is the embodiment of peace as well as power. He said that it is a matter of great fortune for us that we all are going to witness that moment on January 22, when Ramlala will be seated in his birthplace. The work of Lord Ram always helped me in choosing the right path in life.

The Chief Minister said that as the chief servant of Uttarakhand, whatever decisions he takes following the path of religion, they automatically turn out to be right in the interest of the society. All the decisions taken to implement the Uniform Civil Code in the state, to stop religious conversion, to stop copying, to stop land jihad, to stop love jihad, are all proving to be right in the interest of society today. If we follow the path shown by God then you will not need anyone else’s guidance.
