Uttarakhand / Haldwani: JCB raid begins on encroachment for widening of road, heavy police force deployed on the spot

The campaign to remove encroachment for road widening has started in Haldwani. City Magistrate and Chief Municipal Commissioner Pankaj Upadhyay along with heavy police force started the campaign.

JCB roars on encroachment for widening of road
On Friday, the administration and municipal corporation team in Haldwani started the encroachment campaign regarding the widening of Sindhi intersection. City Magistrate Richa Singh and Chief Municipal Commissioner Pankaj Upadhyay were also present on the spot along with heavy police force. The encroachment was removed with the help of JCB.

Start of encroachment removal campaign
Remove encroachment campaign started from Sindhi intersection of Mangal Padav. During this time, the Municipal Corporation team removed the temporary encroachment on the spot. Along with this, the goods imposed under encroachment tax were also confiscated. According to the proposal for widening of Sindhi intersection, 12 meter marks were placed on both sides.

Permanent encroachment identified
Chief Municipal Commissioner Pankaj Upadhyay says that work is being done as per the proposal of widening. Today the temporary encroachment has been removed. Now after identifying the confirmed encroachment, notice is being given after giving three days’ time. If the encroachment is not removed within three days, it will also be demolished.

Notice will also be given to the building affected by widening
Chief Municipal Commissioner said that if any building is coming under widening, then it will also be given time by giving notice. Apart from this, a campaign to remove encroachments will also be started at the intersections which have been identified for the widening campaign.
