Uttarakhand: Upgradation work of five roads started under PM Gram Sadak Yojana, transportation will be facilitated

Pauri MP Tirath Singh Rawat inaugurated the upgradation work of five roads of Kaljikhal development block under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in Bonsal at a cost of about Rs 6495 lakh.

Upgradation of five roads started
Under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Baunsal-Kaljikhaal 34 km costing Rs 2636 lakh, Piplaband-Malau motor road 18 km costing Rs 1493 lakh, Kaljikhaal Nalai 14 km costing Rs 1109 lakh, Banekh-Thanul motor road 12 km costing Rs 889 lakh and Padulpul to Jakhkhali 5 km motor road. The upgradation will be done at a cost of Rs 368 lakh.

Said to be a big achievement for the region
While inaugurating the upgradation work of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, MP Tirath Singh Rawat said that this is the longest road in Uttarakhand which has been included in the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. In this development block, five roads have been included in the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, which is a big achievement for this area.

More than 86 villages will get the facility
Regional MLA Rajkumar Pori said that Baunsal-Kaljikhal Pauri Motorway is the lifeline of this district. This motorway is also an alternative motorway in case of disruption in the Kotdwar Patisain Pauri motorway. With the upgrading of these roads, people of more than 86 villages of the development block will get convenience.
