Uttarakhand: Camps will be set up in Dehradun to collect house tax, see your area in the list

Building tax is being collected by the Municipal Corporation in the financial year 2023-2024. House tax of about Rs 52 crore was collected in the last financial year. The Municipal Corporation has set a target of about Rs 60 crore in this financial year. Till now, around Rs 36 crore building tax has been deposited by the building taxpayers in the Municipal Corporation.

Now that three months are left for the end of the financial year, the Municipal Corporation administration has made preparations to set up a camp to collect building tax in the city. In the first phase, the tax superintendent has been given the responsibility to set up camps in 13 places in the city. From January 04, camps will be organized in different places of the city for the convenience of building taxpayers.

Camp will be organized on 04 January at Turner Road, Tilak Bazaar, on 05 January at DL Road, Ambedkar Bhawan, on 06 January at Dhamawala Kalumal Dharamshala, on 09 January at Raja Road, Kalika Mandir Adhiwati Ashram, on 10 January at Govindgarh Rajiv Colony Chowk. Along with this, a camp for depositing house tax will be organized at Basant Vihar, Bhavani Balika Inter College on January 11, Vasant Vihar Officers Club on January 12, Nehru Colony Branch Office Chaksal Nagar on January 15 and MDDA Colony Indirapuram on January 16.
High tax camps will be organized from January 4
Apart from this, camps will be organized to collect building tax on January 17 at Suri Chowk MKP, on January 18 at Majra, on January 19 at Ballupur and on January 22 at Sahastradhara Chiron Wali. In these camps, building tax payers can deposit their building tax through cash, check or even through POS machine.

Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar has said that organizing building tax camps in the city will facilitate the building tax payers of the city, especially senior citizens, in depositing their building tax. Municipal corporation tax collection will also increase. These camps will be organized in other areas in future also. Besides, the work of sending notices to building tax defaulters is being done by the Municipal Corporation. The Municipal Corporation Administration has set a target of around Rs 60 crore in this financial year. Due to which maximum tax can be collected. For this, the Municipal Corporation has now made arrangements to set up a camp.
