Uttarakhand / Haldwani: Municipal commissioner angry over poor road construction, orders to rebuild it after uprooting it with JCB

A complaint was received about poor quality of road construction in Gopal Ji Vihar Ward 56 of the Municipal Corporation. On this, as per the instructions of the Municipal Commissioner, the construction was uprooted with JCB. Instructions have been given to the contractor to build the road again with quality.

Order to rebuild bad road

Municipal Corporation Commissioner Pankaj Upadhyay said that an appeal has been made to the concerned contractors to work keeping the quality in mind. The work will be re-done on public complaint. There will be no compromise in quality in Municipal Corporation area due to poor construction. If any complaint is received again, then the Municipal Corporation will not get any work done from such contractors.

Municipal Commissioner Pankaj Upadhyay said that the road construction work has been affected due to cold weather. In such a situation, the contractor should have stopped the road work. But he continued the work without taking care of the quality of the road. Instructions have been issued to the contractor to rebuild the road on the same payment. If the quality of the road is still not found correct then the contractor’s payment will be stopped.

Municipal Commissioner Pankaj Upadhyay warned this time that there will be no negligence and quality compromise in any work of the Municipal Corporation. He said that if any kind of problem is being faced in the construction work, then he can come to the Municipal Corporation and ask to extend the time period related to the related work.
