‘Graduate fellows should contribute in making a developed India’, PM Modi said at the 38th convocation of Bharathidasan University.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Tamil Nadu on Tuesday. During this, PM Modi reached the 38th convocation of Bharathidasan University of Tiruchirappalli and gave awards to meritorious students.

While addressing the students of Bharathidasan University, PM Modi said that this is his first interaction with the public in 2024. He said that he is excited to be among the youth of Tamil Nadu.

What was PM Modi happy about?

PM Modi further said that he was very happy to know that he is the first Prime Minister who has come to this university for convocation. During this, he also congratulated the students and their families who completed their graduation.

The foundation has been very strong

The Prime Minister further said that when the university was formed in 1982, many prestigious colleges had come under this university. Many of these colleges have a record of educating excellent people. Therefore, the foundation of Bharathidasan University has been very strong.

University reaching global ranking

Addressing the students, PM Modi said that you are a part of great historical knowledge. The development of Indian universities also has an important contribution in the development of India. Our universities are reaching global rankings in record numbers. All the graduate friends sitting here can make an important contribution in making India a developed country by 2047.

Tamil Nadu will get a gift of Rs 19,850 crore

During his visit, PM Modi will inaugurate several development projects worth more than Rs 19,850 crore in Tamil Nadu and dedicate them to the nation and lay the foundation stone of many big projects. Many projects related to rail, road, oil, gas and shipping sectors in Tamil Nadu will be dedicated to the nation.
