The operation of the ropeway to visit Mansa Devi has stopped on the first day of the new year. According to the information, Manoj Dobal, General Manager of Usha Braco Company, which operates the ropeway, says that the decision to extend the time has to be taken by the state government. Operations will be able to start only if the time is extended by the government.

Contract expired on 31st December

Let us tell you that the lease of the ropeway running on Mansa Devi temple had expired in May 2021. But considering the facilities of the devotees, the operation of the ropeway was extended till December 31, 2023 by the government. Which has now ended on Sunday.

Devotees are facing problems due to closure of operations

On the occasion of New Year, passengers going to Mansa Devi Temple via ropeway had to face problems. Children, disabled people and the elderly used the ropeway more. According to media reports, the ropeway running for Mansa Devi temple attracts at least two thousand to eight thousand passengers every day in the season.

The operation was being carried out risking life

Let us tell you that the investigation of the ropeway was done by IIT Roorkee. A report was submitted to stop the operation of the ropeway as it was very old. Experts said that operation of the ropeway could cause damage. Despite this, the state government had extended the time of operation of the ropeway, putting people’s lives at risk.
