Bullets fired during search in the village… Encounter between security forces and terrorists in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir
Encounter has started in Hadigam area of Kulgam district. A police officer said a joint operation by police, CRPF and Army had launched a cordon and search operation in Adigam village following information about the presence of terrorists. Meanwhile the encounter with the terrorists started. This encounter is going on in Adigam of Kulgam district in South Kashmir. There has been firing between terrorists and security forces.
According to army officials, as soon as the teams entered the village during the search operation, the terrorists started firing. Giving information about the encounter in the statement, Jammu and Kashmir Police has said that police and CRPF are present on the spot. Encounter with terrorists continues. A day earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah had taken a high-level meeting in Delhi regarding the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. In this, the Home Minister had given instructions to strictly crush any attempt of terrorism in the valley.
