Himachal Pradesh: Case of threatening businessman complicated! Hotel businessman reaches Supreme Court after DGP

The case related to businessman Nishant Sharma and DGP Sanjay Kundu, who belongs to Palampur, Kangra, is getting more complicated. Actually, a hearing was held in the Supreme Court today in the case of removal of DGP Sanjay Kundu. The Supreme Court has currently stayed the High Court’s order to transfer DGP Sanjay Kundu. The court has asked the DGP to file an application in the Himachal High Court to withdraw the order. The court said that the High Court should decide on this application within two weeks.

Palampur businessman Nishant Sharma has also reached the Supreme Court. He has filed a caveat file. Now Nishant Sharma’s side will also be heard in the Supreme Court. Hotelier Nishant feared that Sanjay Kundu might challenge the orders of the Himachal High Court in the Supreme Court. And the same thing happened, Sanjay Kundu challenged the orders of Himachal High Court in the Supreme Court.

However, in the hearing today, the Supreme Court said that while the case is pending in the High Court, the DGP should not be insisted for posting in the Ministry of AYUSH. During the hearing in this case, the court asked that if we order a CBI investigation into the case, then the accused SP can be transferred, but why should the DGP be transferred, when the DGP is not even a direct accused.

Mukul Rohatgi, on behalf of the DGP, said that he has three months left in his service. The petitioner said that he did not allow FIR to be registered even in Gurgaon. On this Mukul said that he is not the DGP of India. The Supreme Court was hearing a petition filed against the Himachal Pradesh High Court’s order to remove state DGP Sanjay Kundu from his current posting.

It is noteworthy that Himachal High Court had given instructions to remove DGP Sanjay Kundu and SP Kangra Shalini Agnihotri from their current posting in the case related to businessman Nishant, belonging to Palampur, Kangra. The High Court had asked to remove DGP and SP Kangra from their current posting to ensure fair investigation in the case related to businessman Nishant Sharma. DGP Sanjay Kundu filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the decision of the High Court.

Let us tell you, after the decision of the High Court, Himachal Government on Tuesday removed Kundu from the post of DGP and appointed him Principal Secretary AYUSH. Besides, ADGP CID Satwant Atwal has also been given additional charge of DGP. It remains to be seen what decision the government will take after the Supreme Court decision.
