Punjab: Fire broke out on Ludhiana flyover due to oil tanker overturning, plume of smoke visible in the sky

An oil tanker today collided with a road divider and overturned on a flyover near Khanna area in Ludhiana, Punjab. Due to this a massive fire broke out on the flyover. Flames were seen rising from the flyover and thick black smoke spread into the sky.

When the fuel tanker overturned after hitting the divider near Khanna, its oil spilled onto the National Highway and caught fire. After this, scenes of thick smoke and flames became visible. Due to this, traffic on the highway came to a halt and emergency services had to immediately reach the spot to control the situation.

In the pictures and videos of the incident, thick black smoke is seen billowing into the sky as vehicles pass under the flyover. At present there is no news of any casualty or serious injury in this incident.

Emergency teams have reached the spot and are trying to extinguish the massive fire.
